Pop Art
Chris Pearson is originally from Burnley, but a hairdressing job brought him to Guernsey in 1986 and he never left! He is a dad to Louis and George and is pretty well known locally from being in a few bands over the years. He can currently be seen playing in popular 80s electronica outfit, Fade2Grey.
He sees himself as always having been a bit different from the crowd. He loves good food, fine wine and his wife. He has a good time all of the time 😉
Chris has always been able to paint and draw from an early age. He loved Art at school and never really saw it as a lesson. He used to make screen prints of bands to transfer onto T-shirts to sell (cheaper than buying from a shop and a bit different), and he wanted to become a comic artist since he first started to read Spiderman, Batman etc. He has painted a few wall murals in his time for friends and family - and also for commercial premises. He started painting again about five years ago, whilst on holiday in France… and boom!!!
