Bringing the healing power of creativity to patients, families and staff at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital

About the Project

Launched in May 2024, the Creativity Trolley is a mobile arts cart brought to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital through a partnership between Guernsey Art Network and Health & Social Care's Arts & Health Programme. Filled with art supplies and activity packs, it brings creative activities directly to patients, families, and staff.

Since launching, the trolley has reached hundreds of patients, visitors, and staff across the hospital, creating genuine moments of connection and calm during what can be a challenging time. Behind every visit is a dedicated team of trained arts practitioners and volunteers, who tailor each session to the needs and interests of the individual.

Where We Visit

The Creativity Trolley regularly travels across wards and departments at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, including the Children's Frossard Ward, the Bulstrode Oncology Day Unit, and medical and surgical wards. Whether at the bedside or in group sessions in day rooms, every visit is shaped around the needs and interests of the individual patient.
