Happiest when creating realistic portraits in coloured pencil and pastel, I’m especially drawn to strong contrasts of light and shadow, aiming to bring depth and emotion into every piece. My work often focuses on pets, people, and the bands I’m inspired by as an avid music fan, blending detailed observation with a bit of my own personality.
After returning to drawing in 2023, I’ve been steadily developing my style and confidence. Whether I’m working on a beloved pet, family memorial portrait, or a musician I can’t stop listening to, my goal is always to capture character, atmosphere, and honest detail.
Initially developing my skills with coloured pencil, I have now added pan pastel and pastel pencils to my kit, and am enjoying learning new techniques.
I do the occasional commission in my spare time, and will soon be offering prints of drawings of my favourite musicians on my website.
