Ink Paintings
Gina graduated with a BA Fine Art honours degree in 2000 from Cumbria College of Art and Design; where she first discovered the joys of painting and exploring in Indian ink and where she could be found spending many hours, days, months sprawled on large rolls of Fabriano paper creating mosaic cartoons in ink.
In January 2012 Gina formed InkBison, a project where she could develop her ink paintings, concentrating mainly on animals. Gina turns her paintings into special greeting cards and also fine art prints. Gina is also available to commission for pet portraits. Gina loves to paint animals as they depict such wonderful and raw emotions. Gina’s paintings explore emotions and characters through anthropomorphism and her animal portraits, in turn, help her explore mark making in ink.
