Chris Simcox

Artist & Graphic Designer, spending the last 8 years working in varying design studios in Guernsey.

Studied Urban Design at Birmingham City University and previous to that, a BA in Fine Arts at Staffordshire University in 2005. Spent a year after graduation working on a number of public realm projects including Architecture Week and a project called Place, Space & Identity a program of temporary art projects giving people the chance to respond to the social, economic and environmental changes taking place in North Staffordshire. This involved working with a number of stake holders and individuals to achieve a common objective.

Interests include combining sketching, painting, photography and made or found objects to create new narratives in site-specific spaces. Influenced by Olafur Eliason, Richard Wilson, El Lizzitsky and the architectural drawings of Zaha Hadid.
