I gather my inspiration from around the world including theatre, music, film, folktales, myths and legends. The large eyes in my artwork is inspired by my love of anime and Disney. I also gather inspiration from artist such as Hayao Miyazuki, Tim Burton and Benjamin Lacombe.
I read a lot of tales about spirits and mythology, novels such as Eva Luna are profoundly inspirational with one sentence becoming the basis of an entire piece.
Each piece of art is like a different recipe full of various ingredients such as nature, spirituality, fantasy, anime, folklore and mythology all mixed together to create each of these magical, mythical creatures.
