Sculpture & Mixed Media
My work is inspired by different aspects and memories of my childhood. Playing with paper and getting immersed into the illustrations in books and the colourful characters in the comics and annuals from my childhood are all a catalyst for my work. One of my main interests is imagery from Children’s Annuals and comics from the 70’s and 80’s. The images mesmerise me with their quirky and playful anecdotes and sheer innocence and have a certain retro quality about them.
