My work tends to be mainly influenced by 15th and 16th century Italian Renaissance art and sculpture and also by the works of Edouard Manet, Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud. I draw on past artistic conventions of style, content and iconography to convey and sometimes challenge present day stereotypes and perceptions.
